Design and Curation
As part of the development of the Olympic Museum, we looked at how visitors approach the museum, most of them coming up from the lakeside and through the gardens. The approach was meandering, sightlines had become obscured, and the front door was hidden.
We worked with the paysagiste, Jean-Yves Le Baron, to devise and curate a new landscape concept. We created a spectacular, new flight of steps; rethought the planting; repositioned the statues; and planned a new lighting scheme for the park by night.
The park has become a great Museum welcome as well as a compelling destination in its own right.
