We were asked to devise a story-driven masterplan for this unique Victorian mansion and country estate, which the National Trust bought in 2002 complete with 60,000 artefacts original to the estate.

This property has the benefit of holding a wealth of artefacts, some of which were splendidly ornate and others that are everyday and intensely personal, which we played upon to bring alive the people who owned them.  We also devised Story Maps for the house and the landscape that would create a cohesive experience, drawing visitors across the site whilst highlighting Tyntesfield’s powerful and emotional atmosphere.  Along with selective physical interventions and the property’s well-briefed volunteers, visitors will have the unique sensation of going back in time to a lost, Victorian past.
