Poole Museum

Metaphor was asked to deliver a top-level Masterplanning Strategy for Poole Museum. Poole Museum has a fine collection of artefacts and occupies four exceptional buildings linked by open spaces in the heart of the Georgian town. It tells the unusual story of Poole: a town which has the second largest natural harbour in the world and which has seen traffic, occupation, and trade from prehistory to Roman invasion, from D-Day planning to a major contemporary yacht-building business.

The masterplan identifies opportunities for the Museum to ‘up its game’ and to evolve for the next generation of visitors.
