Voice and Vote: Women's Place in Parliament, UK Parliament

Metaphor designed the popular 2018 Voice & Vote exhibition in Westminster Hall as part of the Vote100 anniversary. The exhibition cast a unique light on the story of Women’s Suffrage by considering how women’s spaces inside parliament have changed over time. The exhibition sought to tell a diverse and inclusive account of women’s fight for political equality,

exploring the contributions and actions of suffragists and suffragettes alike, and bringing the story up to the modern day.

Crucial to the project was ensuring total physical and intellectual accessibility: we wanted the story to be compelling and engaging to all audiences, regardless of their age, nationality and background.

Westminster Hall is a Grade 1 listed space of national

importance with historic features that demanded innovative design solutions, including working the exhibition around essential roof repairs.
