Bath Fashion Museum

The redisplay of the Bath Fashion Museum has been designed by Metaphor in close collaboration with the museum’s curators and staff, and looks at the History of Fashion through 100 Objects.

We used colour, placement and lighting to bring to life this exceptionally rich collection of fashion garments and textiles, which includes many era-defining outfits from Regency fashions, Georgian shoes and men’s 18th century waistcoats through to 20th century masterpieces from Yves St Laurent and Christian Dior.

The exhibition opened to enthusiastic reviews from Bernard Donoghue, Chairman of the Association of Leading Visitor Attractions, describing it as "the brilliantly refurbished Fashion Museum in Bath, and its terrific new exhibition". The weekend edition of the Times for 19th March, 2016 described the re-design as a "charming new exhibition."
