Wallington Visitor Centre

Metaphor created a story-driven masterplan that will pull visitors through the 17th-century mansion and across this National Trust estate, to experience the walled garden, lawns, lakes, parkland and woodland.  Building on a strong, existing family audience, this property will play upon naturally child-focused parts of its history, balanced against its unique past as a hub of Pre-Raphaelite activity.

Metaphor has worked with the client to capture the spirit of this unusual property through the creation of story paths to destinations in the landscape and interventions that combine historic interpretation with present-day mini adventures.
